Today was an exciting day across all Lone Oak ISD campuses as the Lone Oak ISD Education Foundation Grant Patrol made its rounds, delivering grant funds to our teachers. Each fall, our incredible teachers submit grant proposals for items they need or want in their classrooms to create an enhanced learning environment and provide unique educational opportunities for their students.
Thanks to the generosity of the Education Foundation and their amazing sponsors—Cadenhead Construction, Brent and Paula Billingslea, Big G Steel, InTouch by CumbyTel, and Pogue Construction—many of our teachers were awarded grants that will directly benefit our students in countless ways.
The grant awards will fund sensory tools to help students regulate and stay focused, books representing a wide variety of genres to encourage the joy of reading, advanced reading and language curriculum to deepen student understanding, and classroom technology to elevate extracurricular opportunities. Other grants will support classroom transformations designed to engage ELAR students in creative, hands-on ways, as well as provide art supplies, storage, and display items for our growing high school art program.
These grants are a testament to the thoughtful ideas of our teachers and the ongoing commitment of the Education Foundation to make a real impact in the lives of our students. We are so grateful for the support of the Education Foundation and their sponsors, whose generosity ensures that our students continue to thrive in innovative, engaging, and enriching learning environments.
Thank you for making today special and for always putting our students first!
