The Lone Oak Health Science Academy is dedicated to preparing students for careers in healthcare through a rigorous four-year program that blends academic training with real-world experience. This program ensures students gain both the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to succeed in the medical field.

The academy serves a diverse group of students, many of whom aspire to pursue careers in healthcare. As the demand for skilled healthcare professionals continues to grow, it is more important than ever to that we provide our students with relevant training that meets industry standards. 

This year marks an exciting milestone, as students will for the first time have the opportunity to earn industry certifications as EKG technicians and certified patient care technicians—credentials that will give them a strong foundation as they enter the healthcare workforce.

Looking ahead, students and staff are eager to move into the new high school addition, where the CTE Health Science classroom will provide hands-on training experiences in patient bays and physical training areas. This space is designed to make a lasting impact on healthcare training at Lone Oak ISD, ensuring students have access to the best learning environment for years to come.
