A Busy Start in Ag

Our Ag students have had a busy start to the year! Across several classes, students have been exploring FFA leadership opportunities, learning the basics of Homecoming mum design, and putting their creativity to work with an agriculture-themed activity with friends for Western Day.

Advanced Animal Science students have been busy evaluating key traits of market hogs and getting practice identifying their important characteristics. In Ag Mechanics, first-year students have been learning to operate different types of cutting machinery in the shop, while senior students recently had the opportunity to tour Holt Caterpillar in Anna.

With opportunities ranging from leadership and floral design to mechanics and animal science, students have plenty of ways to explore their interests, try something new, and find their place in the Ag program.
