- High School Diploma/GED - $100/day
Long-term Substitute
Long-term substitute pay takes effect after 20 consecutive days in the same classroom/teaching position.
- Certified Teacher - $130/day
- College Degree - $130/day
- Cafeteria/Custodian Position: $10.00 per hour
- Bus Driver Position: $25.00 per trip
All employees, substitutes included, are paid monthly, on or before the 25th of every month. Direct deposit is available and encouraged. Checks are NOT available for pickup. Checks will be mailed if you choose not to do direct deposit. A pay period is the 16th through the 15th of the following month (ex. Days worked from September 16th through October 15th will be paid on the October payroll check on the 25th).

It is recommended that you keep a record of the days and for which teachers you have worked.
Note: If you are a retired teacher and you receive a monthly annuity check from the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, please contact Beth Luhn, Director of Human Recoursed, to let her know the month and year you retired.
