LOISD District Nurse

My name Is Laurie Daniel and I am the District Nurse for Lone Oak ISD. I graduated from the Mississippi College School of Nursing in 1994 and have been in the nursing field now for 29 years. This will be my 10th year as a proud Buffalo!

As the district nurse, I am able to help students and staff alike in a multitude of ways including but not limited to the following:

 

• Provide first aid care and health assessment
• Communicate with teachers and staff to ensure the safety and well-bring of students
• Administer medications and monitor delegated medication administration
• Coordinate and provide vision/hearing/spinal/AN screenings
• Educate and train staff on CPR/AED/First Aid, asthma, life threatening allergies, diabetes, blood borne pathogens, and most recently, Lifevac devices.

I love being a Buffalo and look forward to another year at Lone Oak ISD.
